Hello Spring Bath Mat

Sharing is caring!

We are already in end of May! Here in Chicago finally has the weather that we can call it spring. (This week, and staring from this week, is more like summer though) I remember around this time of the year, it’s usually in mid 60s low 70s (and rainy cloudy weather on Memorial Day…) so I’m super happy for this weather!

After I made Budding Leaf Bookmark, I wanted to make spring-related item again, but this time as bath goods. Since summer season is coming up, and that means people use more water! People go to pools and beaches, then take shower after that. Some people might take a bath more than once a day because of the hot weather and get sweaty. This bath mat will bring your bathroom little touch of “greens” and cleanliness!

The bath mat is made with using C2C (corner-to-corner) so it’s very easy to make! Just download and follow along the grid pattern listed at the instruction! For those of you who never made C2C, it is a stitch pattern using double crochet and chains. You work diagonally, starting at one of the corner (usually from bottom right corner, but it doesn’t really matter which corner you start from) and work your way up. Check out my C2C tutorial for more details! (One Dog Woof by ChiWei has great video tutorial on her blog!)

Whenever I make C2C, I always make 2 to 3 rows of borders to add touch of detail. I highly recommend adding border because it makes your project much crisper and cleaner finish!

C2C is such a fun project to make! When I first made my C2C blanket, it was super fun that I couldn’t stop crocheting! I was probably doing it for good 2, 3 hours straight. That’s how addicting it is. You can also make your own design by using Excel and other online websites! (I used Stitch Fiddle) There are so many beautiful C2C projects out there (including my Pop Floor Mat), and I’ll be making all 4 seasonal bath mats!

If you prefer without the words, just simply change the gray part to white! (I didn’t use up all of my gray yarn, so in this case, I cannot guaranty but you may not need additional ball of white)
